Life as a troll was tough. You had to burrow into the ground and jump up just at the right time to smash unaware travelers. It provided endless entertainment but was very difficult to time when you had tons of girth to deal with.
At least that's how it was for Grunhilda the Earth Troll. She just couldn't help smashing things. It was too much fun. Her brain was small but her fists were huge and that's all that mattered to the old beast.
Grunhilda could hear footsteps echoing through the ground. Two males were approaching. She sunk into the dirt and awaited the perfect moment to burst out and attack them.

Charles was so confused. The quest giver said this was where the troll would be, but he didnt see anything. "I thought trolls were big but i dont see one" he said to his Questmate.

Grunhilda heard the humans talking and rose from the ground, chuckling deeply in a troll voice.
Oh how small the little humans were. They were just so squishable.
Grunhilda withdrew one of her large fists from the moldy dirt and turned to smash the nearest warrior, one who looked to be in the process of unseathing his weapon.

Grunhilda howled as she felt the flames hit her but the impact was too severe and her blow was not detered.
She hit the man closest too her and he fell backwards. She wasn't sure if she had injured him though, because the Heroes of the Guild seemed to be made of stronger stuff.

The troll stumbled backwards as she was hit by the lighting. Now these heroes were getting serious. She was going to enjoy squishing them.
Grunhilda grabbed a lump of dirt and chucked it at the male who just hit her. He was very annoying she decided and perhaps some dirt in the eye would fix him.

Grunhilda yelled out and stumbled backwards, falling for a moment on a huge rock, which sent shooting pains up her soily back.
Maybe she had picked the wrong people to smush.
Grunhilda grabbed the rock she had landed on earlier and chucked it toward the two male heroes, hoping it would hit one of them.

Charles woke back up just in time to dodge the rock, he ran forward and slashed the troll twice and zapped her with a great burst of lightning.
