It had been two long years since Scarlett had seen a fight and now she wasn't quite sure if she was interested to return. Her back had healed nicely but the memory of that attack was still fresh.
She had almost cost the others their lives and now she but second guessing becoming a warrior all together. Perhaps she would just turn to farming like her parents.
Scarlett shook that silly notion out of her head. The sun was beating down heavily upon her, reflecting off of her auburn locks like it would a mirror. She had been standing at the front gates of Bowerstone for over an hour. People had passed her going in and then saw her still standing there on the way out. The looks she got from them were nearly enough to make her turn around and go home.
However, she didn't not come this far to turn back now. She was determined to get a Quest from the Guild and go adventuring once again. And she had to stop at Bowerstone to get proper attire before she left, the cotton dress she wore would not stand up against a Balverine attack.
Yet, Scarlett still waited, sun beating down and threatening to burn her pale skin.
Scarlett decided enough was enough. If she wasn't meant to be a warrior then she wasn't. This Quest would prove it, she would just make sure not to endanger other lives in the process this time.
Scarlett took a step forward and began heading toward the gates of Bowerstone.

Daygon was sitting alone outside of his house catching the sunlight as it hit is smooth face. As he sat there he noticed a woman standing at the main Bowerstone gates. He wondered whether to go and greet her but then thought that she was waiting for someone so he left to go and shine his boots.
Later on in the day Daygon ventured out into the hot sun again to go to the pub but was stopped in his tracks as ne noticed the woman still standing there alone. She looked very anxious but being Daygon he never left a person alone.
Daygon strolled along towards the woman happily ready to greet his newly made friend with a wide happy smile on his face and a spring in his step. Standing next to the woman he extended his arm ready for a handshake and said cheerfully 'Daygon is my name, May I walk and talk with you?'

Scarlett took his hand and shook it fiercely. She smiled an uneasy smile at the new man infront of her. He was the first to stop on this scorchingly bright day and she wondered if his motives were unsound.
"Yes, feel free. I have been standing here for hours though, it might not be wise to stick by my side. I'm Scarlett by the way. What was your name again?"
She looked into his eyes, hoping to pick up on his true personality. Scarlett was always good at reading people.

Daygon beamed at the woman knowing that he may have made a new friend. 'My name is Daygon, I have just graduated from the Guild and live here in Bowerstone.' Daygon stared at her for a moment trying to guess what she was thinking and then began walking back towards his house with her. 'You must be very thirsty from standing in the sun all day... What exactly was you doing out there?' asked Daygon curiously.

Scarlett followed him although she was a bit wary. It was very difficult for her to trust people. But she was prepared for the worst with him, and he didn't know that she could kill him with her bare hands. Well, injure him at least. Besides, he seemed like a genuinely nice person and she didn't think she would need to use her hand-injuring technique today.
"I was deciding whether or not to go into Bowerstone. I haven't been back in a few years. Something is holding me back. Did you say you graduated from the Guild? How old are you?" Scarlett's jade eyes had flashed at the mention of the Guild. It was completely possible that she had seen him before, of course, Albion is a very big place.

'I am 17 years old and yes I did graduate from the guild' said Daygon proudly. 'Do you mind if I acompany you? See I am not the best at battling but I must say I do know my way around as I have studied the map of Albion and I am grate at holding heavy equipment and bargaining!' said Daygon eagerly. Daygon had only just graduated so he was fascinated by the world and ready to explore with confidence with a companion.

"Yes, I fear that I may need a companion. Bowerstone is much too different. I would probably get terribly lost on main street." She paused for a moment.
"I graduated from the Guild as well. It trains you but I can't promise for everything. You just graduated did you? Well I did two years ago. All I can say is, be careful with your first battle or it could be your last." Scarlett let out a loud laugh as she heard her own words.
"I am sorry, listen to me, I sound like the old Guildmaster. Thank you for walking with me though. Why don't you tell me about yourself." Scarlett began walking up the path with Daygon. He seemed to be a very sweet boy. But one year can sometimes make a huge difference.

Daygon smiled happily for he had gained a new companion. 'More about me... Well yes I did graduate from the Guild recently but others mock me because I cannot handle a weapon as well as all of the other graduates' said Daygon staring at the floor. ' But I am going to prove everybody wrong as I have accepted my first quest which involves becoming a balverine!' said Daygon. Daygon did not know what he was letting himself in for especially since his first quest is a very tough task.
'And I may have a new shop to attend too, first I just need permission' laughed Daygon. 'I am very glad that I can be your companion because with you I feel as if I can do anything!' Daygon smiled and looked at his new companion, he could not see the fear that was arising in her face.

It took Scarlett awhile to process what he had said. She answered it in order, one at a time like shooting beetles in a row.
"Wow, that is a huge quest to undertake. Maybe I should go too, to keep and eye on you." Scarlett joked, realizing just after she did that Daygon was practically a stranger and perhaps he would take her remark as peculiar. She decided to shrug it off.
"A shop would be nice I just hope...." It was only then that she realize he had said he could to anything with her. Her face blushed a bit as she decided whether or not to bring it up. "What do you mean exactly when you say you feel like you could do anything with me?"

'What do you mean exactly when you say you feel like you could do anything with me?'
As she said these words Daygon laughed as he heard them come from another mouth. ' Well I did not mean it in a rude way' said Daygon still laughing.
The two of them sat down listening to some birds twittering in the hot sunshine, both in deep thought. Although Daygon new that his new companion was joking when she mentioned coming with him he did like that idea since he had never battled anybody properly before.
'Well in future quests I would be glad if you accompanied me, but for this one I think I will do it alone. Besides there are others coming with me' Daygon said this whilst feeling very sad at the thought that she would not accompany him. Getting up Daygon put on a fake smile and said cheerfully, 'I am sorry that I cannot accompany you further for the time being but I really must get going so that I can prepare for this quest. I do hope to see you again once this quest is over though'. At that Daygon walked away to the blacksmith to obtain the axe he had ordered.

Scarlett watched as Daygon left. He was very nice to her. Scarlett hoped it wouldn't be too forward but she was going to do it anyway.
She got off the bench and left Bowerstone behind. She could come back later and pick up a weapon. Right now she was headed off to the Guild, eager to get in on the Quest that Daygon had been talking about earlier.
She hoped he wouldn't be mad when she showed up but realized that she was finally ready to get back into battle.
