Born: Countryside around Barrow's Field.
Family: Ellen spent her early childhood growing up around her father. Her mother passed away when she was still young, and she has no memory of her. Her father was a blacksmith, mainly making tools for villagers of the neighboring towns, though he occasionally made weapons for heroes that came through.
Character History: Ellen wasn't exactly the toughest girl growing up. When she was eight a group of bandits began to blackmail her father into making weapons for them. Her father managed to get a guild card out and in a matter of weeks a warrior from the guild arrived to handle the situation. He stayed with the family for a brief period setting up an ambush for when the bandits were coming for a supply grab in three days time.
On the third day Ellen approached the warrior, and asked to help him save her daddy. The warrior had seen her around the house the past few days and noted her energy, and despite how ridiculous it was he noted that she had said it seriously. He denied her help of course, but watched the girl closely that day. That night he ambushed the bandits as they approached the house. The bandit nearest Ellen's father turned to him before the warrior could strike him down, leaving him a fatal wound for his betrayal.
Only a single bandit escaped that night, but the damage had been done. The warrior approached a hysterical Ellen, he could make a case for her to the guild. She seemed a strong enough sort, and without any family it would be better than any alternative.
She was brought to the guild the next day. Over the course of the next few years it became like her home; it's members, her family.
Personality: Ellen's brave, though not foolishly so. She believes that there's good in every person, and this can make her soft at times when it would be better if she wasn't. She's quick to trust people, and cares for those she calls friends.
Sample RP:
Ellen fell back onto her bed, with a sigh. Her loose hair falling about her. She stared up at the ceiling silently, seconds stretching into minutes. Finally, she closed her eyes, a sigh escaping her again.
"That could have gone better."
She glanced down at her waist, the shirt was torn where a bandits blade had cut her. The wound had mostly healed over, the result of hours of will expenditure. She ran her hand gently over it, the skin smooth.
"I still feel like I've run the grounds a hundred times over..." She glanced to her side, where a small pouch rest. "Still though... at least that family shouldn't have any more bandit trouble."
She allowed herself to close her eyes, "And I'm home for now... I can rest, heal, and get this tear fixed... Hopefully I'll still have the money for some actual armor after that." With that she loosened the grip on the pouch, drifting into a peaceful sleep.
ACCEPTED: Message me on whether you would like to become a bandit, citizen, or hero.
