The Guild
This is the Hero school where your character spent many of their years. You can get a free bed here, buy from the guild store, train at the training grounds and explore the Guild Woods. The most important part of it though is the Map of Albion where all the Quests are posted.
Quests
Quests are adventures that are posted by people of the Guild or Citizens of Albion in dire need. Any Hero can request on, they are mostly first come first serve, but some Quests may have prerequisites, such as a person must have so many evil points. The rewards for almost all of the them will be monetary but some people may not be able to afford it. Other possible rewards are moral points and fame. The poster of the Quest is in charge of saying who gets it. (Some Heroes really wouldn't want and evil character rescuing their wife.) Also only one Quest will be allowed at a time so choose carefully.
Moral Points
Moral points are what you recieve for good or evil deeds. It is called Karma points and you will notice it under your avatar. Evil is negative 100, good is positive 100. Everyone will start at zero unless there are a few specific events in their character applications. The only people who are allowed to control it are the Priests of Avo and Skorm. These can determine Quests you can do and places you can go.
Gold
All characters must start an account at the Bowerstone Bank. Accounts start with 1000 gold pieces. Withdrawls from an account must be made by the characters and deposits by whoever is paying them. Each withdrawl or deposit is its own post with the new total of the bank account under the subtraction or addition amount. Also a small note for the reason for withdrawl or deposit is needed for the Bowerstone Treasurer. The reason for self withdrawl is that way we can eliminate people stealing money from others and the reason for other characters depositing money is the way no one will deposit money no one has given them. Also it will be easier to track where the money is going.
Relationships and Marriage
All relationships are allowed, including same-sex, and marriage as well. If you want to get married to someone you must ask them in a post just like you would in normal life. Private messages are not a proper way to ask. Then all you have to do is get a mayor to marry you in a town square or have a priest marry you at a Temple. It is allowed to have more then one spouse but the same rules apply. Also if you discover your own spouse is being unfaithful you must observe the same rules. Only what is posted may be used. If your character is in Darkwood and your spouse is getting married in Knothole Glade, it is unlikely you could get there in time to crash the wedding and why would you be needing to get to Knothole Glade anyway. Don't use knowledge you have that your character wouldn't.
Divorce
Of course Divorce is allowed. When you and your spouse need to part ways you need to contact the Mayor of your home town to help divide up your goods.
Children
Having children is allowed and encouraged, but they always need someone to watch them, a parent or a parent's friend. Having a kid is completely up to you and your spouse but you should be careful with your casual relationships because you might recieve a message from the admin that you have gotten someone pregnant or gotten pregnant yourself. It is always tough to raise a baby all alone.
Adult Content
Now Fable was a mature game so sex is allowed in this game as well as violence, however you should remember that the game always faded to black and you should do the same. Talking and writing about it is ok but it shouldn't turn into an exotic novel, after all that is not the point of this site, and if it is something you wouldn't want a kid under 13 to read then it should be marked appropriately. If things get to descriptive then the post will be deleted and warnings will be distributed. Remember, Fable fades it to black, you should as well.
Towns
The towns throughout Albion have many different things they can do. Shopping at the stores, getting married in the Plaza, sometimes even Quests can all take place in the towns. Also, if you save up enough money you can buy homes. Towns are a great place to socialize and earn money at a job.
Homes
Several lots and prebuilt homes have been created all throughout Albion for Characters. It is not necessary to buy them but they are fun private places for your Character to interact with others. Homes are needed in order to have children or else they will be taken away.
Jobs
There are many jobs throughout Albion that are controlled by the Occupational Director. Once a character accepts a job it is their occupation (along with Quests) until they quit it. Blacksmith, Lumberjack, Assassin, Bartender, Farmer, Prostitute, Shopkeeper, Healer, and several others are available. A special post will be created and a certain number of posts will be needed to get paid. The Occupational Director will deposit the money directly into your account when you earn it.
Shops
Shops sell armor, gifts, weapons and healing potions. The goods available are provided by the Head Shopkeeper. Characters can own their own shops or stands if they can raise enough money. But they are tough to maintain.
Hit Points and Levels
Injuries recieved during battles are given by the Heroes of Strength, Will, and Skill. They will private message the players or post what the injuries recieved are. If the battle continues for too long both people can be hurt severely or someone could even die. A warning for both will be sent before it happens. But remember it could be interesting to have a Hero with a lame leg or one with a long jagged scar down its face.
You can find out how many hitpoints you get by checking out your inventory. Unless otherwise specified everyone starts out at Level 1. The Levels of Albion Tales are as follows:
Level 1: 20 hitpoints
Level 2: 40 hitpoints
Level 3: 60 hitpoints
Level 4: 80 hitpoints
Level 5: 100 hitpoints
The Bandit Camp
The Bandit Camp is something like the evil version of the Guild. There are several places to go and special Quests for Bandits. It is possible for a character to never be a Hero and only ever be a Bandit. This means their story starts at the Bandit camp instead. So think about what you want before you write your characters application. If you start off one place (Like the Guild) and what to pledge allegience to somewhere else (like the Bandit Camp) then you must send a message to both the Guildmaster and the King of the Bandits. It could be interesting to write a story about a bandit who turns good or even a Hero who turns evil.
Demon Doors
For those who haven't played Fable you need to know that Demon Doors aren't necessarily evil. Some are of course but some are rather good. If you can get past the door then there are rare items inside them. Each door has a new riddle, some are things you need to figure out and others are things you need to do in order to open them. All the demon doors have been password protected. Once you solve the riddle to some of them you will be able to open the doors. If it wants you to complete a task you must complete it and then inform the admins who will give you the password. All passwords are lowercase to provide simplicity (At the moment there is only one demon door. More will be added shortly)
