I was thinking it's about time we introduced guns. I mean, originally we weren't supposed to do anything that didn't happen in Fable. We basically caused a time paradox by making the Bandits take the Guild, so this is more just set in Albion than a Fable RP. I think we should be gradually advancing more towards Fable II, and that we should introduce prototype rifles and pistols. If my pirate faction is accepted, I'll make my new Pirate character bring in a shit load for the bandits.

No. I really think that guns would ruin this. Also, guns kinda ruin it for skill oriented characters.

I personally would rather not introduce guns, I feel they would be abused by some people and we would have alot more "god-modding" debates that we used to. Lets just make some minor changes for a bit to see how things go.

i really ont like the idea of guns either, but i like the iea of pirates, it kinda opens up the idea of buying ships, and sailing on the sea, having sea battles, so it sounds pretty cool, but no guns are just not reay to happen in my mind

Hmm.. gunpowder.. gunpowder, that could be cool. I mean... like, not led but gunpowder and big steel balls for cannons... and also.... yeah.... arrows have gunpowder on them, for fire. So no guns but cannons would be alright, and I'm not talking about friken hand held cannons. Ship cannons!

You do realise I was talking about things like flintlock pistols? And I did say PROTOTYPE. Meaning they would be in their very early stages and never have been used in battle.

small cannons basically. That's what guns were in early stages, you could basically call them that.

maybe cannons on a ship, that i think would be ok =b but i dont like the iea of being shot with a gun, an i agree with Selena, using a bow would be kinda pontless, and it would really take away from the expierience, but magpie you could get a poll going.

The thing is not many people would use these ''Prototype' weapons anyway. Firstly they would have been very unacurate, secondly take a long time to reload, thirdly they rust and break easily, forth they have only one shot.
So i guess only if you wanted to have a 'one shot' assassination that would be appropriate. But scrap the idea of moving onto fable II.

I'm still not really into it. But yeah get a poll going and see what people want. I like the Pirate Faction Idea, but that is about it. Go for some cannons on ships and big sea battles, but leave the guns out of it. I know they take ages to reload in real life, but I would rather avoid them on this site. They just scream "GOD MOD!!!" to me. And even if they are used fairly, its still pretty well pointless in my opinion "Griff took a shot at Magpie. Missed and reloaded" "Griff took another shot and Magpie and hit him in the leg" <<<In this situation Magpie has two choices, he can run around and ignore it and piss people off or go with the shot to the leg and pretty well have a f**ked up leg for the duration of the thread, and nobody wants to do that. Please....just avoid the guns altogether

Maybe with the guns i think your right. But no one but a rich fat man, or a really lucky pirate captain is going to use a one shot pistol.

the only way it cul work fairly is it it fired like a verrry weak shotgun, spread pattern, that way it couldnt take your arm off or anything, it woul pellet your amrs legs face body etc. and leave pellets sticking in the skin a little, but then the gun becomes completley pointless so yeah i nt like it, but if you took magic away from pirates, an then allowe only pirates to have guns (anyone could have one, but obly pirates would know how to use them) then that would take one skill away from a pirate, and equal it all out, but again that just seems like no fun because ud have to take will away from the pirates to make it fair.
