Born: In the City of Bowerstone
Family: Aldren was born to a family of rich scholars, Vidcund and Tradasha Thell, in Bowerstone North. He had a younger sister, Ambrosia, but she died when he was 10. His parents joined her when he was 18.
Character History: Aldren was a spirited and perhaps pompous young boy living in North Bowerstone. He was given every comfort and took it for granted. Until, that is, his family was thrown out of North Bowerstone by the mayor. They had to make a new home in the South Bowerstone slums and it cost them dearly.
Aldren's sister, Ambrosia, died when he was only ten due to disease. His parents didn't want him to die as well so they sent him to the Guild as soon as the Guildmaster then would let them.
Aldren spent those years of his life in sheer ecstasy. He studied all the time in the library and loved the knowledge he soaked up. He also became particularly good at magic and decided to focus his attention on that. He did, and became the best mage in the Guild by the time he was 16. At 17 he left the Guild to pursue adventure, he had become bored with simply reading about it in books.
Along the way he made several enemies, namely the Bandits, and several friends, namely Rolis. Rolis was a beautiful girl with straight black hair and Aldren loved her very much.
When he was 18, Rolis and Aldren got engaged. She was as much of an adventurer as him and he often took her on his Quests. The Guild didn't like this but there was little they could do.
One day, while Rolis and Aldren were away. Bandits rode into Bowerstone and killed his parents (For he had killed a great Bandit Commander). When message reached Rolis and Aldren they could think only of revenge, no matter what the Guildmaster said.
So they went to the Bandit Camp, and killed many foes. They escaped as well, and laughed long into the night about the dumb Bandits. The laughter didn't last long. The Bandits kidnapped dear Rolis, leaving Aldren alive. He never saw her again.
Now he had no one in the whole world, and so he turned to the only home he had left, The Guild. The Guildmaster welcomed him with open arms. Aldren never again sought out adventure, finding it much more comforting to read about it in books.
The years past quickly and by the time he was 38 the old Guildmaster died and he was crowned the new one. He found that management and orders were much more to his liking then the blood and gore of the battlefield. (Although he couldn't help but reminisce about the days with Rolis) Now it has been more then 30 years since he became Guildmaster and he feels like it will soon come to an end.
Personality: A Quiet and Stern man that still longs for the freedom and adventure he once had.
Sample RP: Aldren sat upon his leather chair, quietly signing the Quest that were being passed across his desk. There were always so many of them. So many people needed assistance all throughout Albion. But they would all have to wait, his quill was running out of ink.
Aldren had to admit that some of the Quests sounded exciting. Balverines in Witchwood. Trolls outside of Oakvale. He might have to grab his staff and fend a few trolls off himself. But then he looked at the reflection in his shiny desk and felt the knots in his back. He wasn't the same person he had been. These adventures would just have to go to someone more youthful.
