Ravyn saw Glenroy pull Daygon. She would have to kill the last two Balverines. She swung her sword at the neck of one of them. The sword didn't cleave all the way through. It cut halfway through it's neck and lodged itself there. She jumped back drawing her bow. She fired two arrows in it's head. It fell, back, but not dead. She fired 3 arrows quickly at the other Balverine. This one looked wilder, but it had fresh cuts all over it. She fired 1 more arrow and it missed. She began to slowly back up. She had one arrow left. The other Balverine stood behind the second Balverine. She pulled back the arrow, and fired. The arrow flew straight through the first Balverine's head and then into the next Balverine's heart. A perfect shot.
"We should get in, more will come." she said, retrieving some of her arrows, and her sword.

Sitting beside Daygon Glenroy said "Looks like I got some action after all. I think it'd be better if I stick around for a bit."

Neverfall woke, pain coursing through his entire body from the wound on his back. He rose with all the steadiness he could muster to his feet. "Open the damn gates! I'm going out. My redemption begins here, and if Avo sees fit, it ends here." He tried to wrench open the gates, but couldn't by himself. "You there, guard, help me!"
"Oi, no way I'm openin' them gates, lad. Those Balverines will have us all dead in an hour's time."
Neverfall turned to Ravyn. "Ravyn, help me open the gates. Please."

Ravyn nodded. "We have to get rid of those Balverines." she said. "They're coming, all of them from the cave. We have to stop them. I don't know where everyone else went but we have to try and stop it now."

Neverfall and Ravyn used all their might to open the gates. They stood there, waiting. There was an audible howl, and seven Balverines came running down the path. Neverfall unsheathed his katanas and ran to meet the first one, slashing at it in a frenzy which left it mangled and bloody on the ground. The others were swiftly closing in on him. He backed away as the Balverines, howling, came closer.

Ravyn repeatedly fired arrows in the group of Balverines careful not to hit Neverfall. After she had fell 3, she closed her eyes, and tried to hear more. She hear Balverines. But not the small ones. 3 white ones, coming with almost a dozen Balverines behind them. Ravyn quickly helped Neverfall with the remaining Balverines.
"Neverfall, there's over a dozen of them coming, and three white ones. We have to get more help."she said.

"You can go get help if you want. I need to stay here in the front line. I must seek redemption, and it will only be completed with my death, whether it be here or 70 years from now." Neverfall pushed Ravyn through the gates and, with the guard's help and not without protest, shut the gates to await his fate.

Scarlett was late. Hours late. Her family had delayed her, begging for her not to return to battle so soon. Then her travel to Witchwood had been halted when she finally got out of her cottage. A small troupe of bandits had blocked one of the paths and she had to go around them, not wanting to waste her energy.
When she finally did arrive she knew already that she was much too late. Balverines were swarming everywhere. She saw Daygon and he looked injured. The rest of the Heroes were cornered looking exhausted and bloody.
"May Avo help us!" She said as she charged into the fray, hoping to make up for being so late, heading toward two pinned heroes, a man and a dark haired female. She slashed at a tall brown balverine near the male. As she hacked at its back with her Iron Longsword it turned and faced her. Its eyes were black and teeth were stained red from blood. It's brow was furrowed as it glared at her for the intrusion.
The beast slashed at her with it's razor sharp claws and as Scalett ducked to one side she felt it slice into a small section of her shoulder. The wound wasn't deep but it was incredible how painful transformation from uninjured to injured was to a person. She fell to the ground and her pristine leather armor became covered in mud.
However, she didn't have much time to worry about her bleeding gash because the Balverine was on her again. "Tricky little devil." She said to herself as she stab it's foot, making it lame. With a second stab to the abdomen of the wounded monster, it fell to the ground dying. It was her first Balverine kill.
Scarlett ran over to the others as quickly as possible, dodging the blows from the Balverines around them. "I am so sorry for being late." She shouted to the others noticing a gate that she hadn't before.
A balverine came out of no where and tackled her to the ground. She held it back, it's teeth trying to knaw at her, with her sword. She punched it in the side of the head with her fist, taking it off guard long enough to grab a dagger from her boot and stab it in the ribs.
She got to her feet, took a breathe, and noticed several more balverines approaching. Three White.

Glenroy returned from the inn where he had left Daygon. Running towards the gate he noticed it was closed. Neverfall and Scarlett were outside. "Open the gate!" he shouted at the guard. "Oh no way. It was a miracle none got through last time." Running to top of the wall Glenroy drew his bow and started firing into the mess of balverines to assist the heroes.

Ravyn saw Scarlett arrive. She almost smiled.
"The three white ones are coming. Along with almost a dozen regulars."she called over the howl of Balverines.
She fired one arrow, high in the sky. She waited, and heard a howl in the distance.

Daygon woke up to the sound of howling in the distance. Getting up immediately he fell off the bed that he was put in and felt his head pulsing under the pain. Never the less he forced himself to get up and run clumsily out of the inn and down to the front gates of Knothole Glade. There he met Glenroy who was busy shooting arrows over the large gate. 'I have a plan!' said Daygon groggily. Glenroy asked no questions as he followed Daygon back to a random house, there they found a large piece of rope hanging from the wooden wall. Both sprinted back to the battle field. Glenroy attached the rope to one of his arrows and shot it over the gate, it pierced through a tree. 'All we have to do now is climb the rope' said Daygon still dizzy from being knocked out. 'You go first, I will be right behind you' gasped Daygon as he said this to Glenroy in a rush.

Ravyn saw Glenroy and Daygon climbing a rope over the wall. Good, we'll need them, she thought.
The Balverines were getting closer, she could heard the thudding of their paws as they came closer. She fired multiple arrows in the sky, and heard large roars of pain. When they got to the gate, Scarlett, Glenroy, Daygon, Neverfall, and her would have to fight them off, or die trying.

Daygons head was still in pain but he no longer felt the fear which he had done from the start of the quest. Daygon was changing in personality very quickly and admired his companions for helping each other out.
Staring over at his battered companions he nodded at them in admiration and began descending the slope down towards the balverines. He no longer feared death and would take them on knowing the consequences of his actions. Daygon heard the balverines growls getting nearer so he raised his Axe ready for the fierce battle ahead.

Ravyn saw Daygon go for the larger group of Balverines. She rushed after him, determined to keep her promise.

Scarlett followed after Daygon, heart pumping madly as she saw all the Balverines before them. If she hadn't been with such skilled warrior she would have felt completely hopeless.
Wiping her bloody sword off on her pant leg, she ran forward, hand gripping the sword tightly.
"Get ready..." she shouted to her collegues, many of who she didn't know, "Here they come!"

Daygon being ahead of the others advanced down the path and met a balverine running up, swinging his Axe around he connected with the balverines shoulder. The balverine howled and kept running up the path to-wards the others. A second balverine jumped down from the treetops and landed in front of Daygon. Daygon swung his Axe around and banged it on the head with force. He let this one thunder up the path to-wards the others too. The third and final balverine walked up slowly to-wards Daygon, Daygon advanced down-wards too ready for the beast to make the first move. It did as it lunged forwards and knocked Daygon clean off his feet. Like lightning though Daygon unhooked a sheathed dagger in his leather trousers and thrust it for-wards into the balverines heart. The balverine gave a short wine and landed on top of him. Daygon quickly pushed the beast off and stood up to see the others standing at the top of the hill preparing to battle. Daygon was about to help but was stopped by an aching pain in his left arm, he looked down at it and saw a huge gash covered in blood, it had a balverines tooth sticking out. 'How did that happen?' thought Daygon as he fell to the ground in a faint.

Scarlett saw Daygon fall and rushed forward at top speed to help him. A group of Balverines had already surrounded the unconcious hero so now Scarlett couldn't see him at all. A balverine charged up beside her, swiping at her side. Scarlett hacked at it's paw, still running at full speed and drove it back.
She got closer to Daygon, hoping that he was still in one piece and made a loud yell. The Balverines turned from Daygon and charged at her, they just couldn't resist a good fight. She hacked at any part of them she could find but the battle became mostly a blur of fur, blood and claws. Scarlett wasn't making any headway, realizing she had trapped herself and left the others behind. Then an arrow wizzed out of no where, killing a Balverine in front of Scarlett and clearing a path. She didn't have enough time to look around to see where it had come from but silently thanked whoever it was.
Daygon was thankfully in one piece although he was bleeding a lot. Scarlett and the unknown helper had bought her enough time to get to his side. But just barely enough. "Daygon, come on you need to get up." She said as she kneeled by his side, looking frantically at the aproaching Balverines. "Daygon!"
He looked unconsious. She patted him down looking desperately for a health potion. She found one in one of his many pockets. "Daygon, I am going to use your health potion on you... Is that alright?" She was going to wait for him to answer but as the Balverines got closer she decided against it and poured it down his throat.
"I'll buy you two new ones and we'll be even" Scarlett waited for it to take effect, poised with her sword to fight off the Balverines as they neared.

Running forward into the fray Glenroy cut through a balverines neck and stood in front of Scarlett. "Get Daygon back to the gates I'll hold them off" He said. He sprang forward again. One balverine ran towards him claws outstreched. Glenroy cut through both arms severing them. Balverine blood sprayed onto his hand. It stung but wasn't too bad. Stepping forward he lopped off the whining beast's head. Ravyn's arrows soaring over his head he leapt forth again.

The whole group of heroes were fighting the Balverines. The White ones were finally here. Ravyn focused her fire on the largest White Balverine. She fired multiple arrows into it's hide. The arrows barely look like they penetrated an inch. She focused her fire low, on it's legs, so it wouldn't be able to move. All of ehr arrows found their place, in the thigh, and Achilles Heel. She would need more help taking it down, but it was disabled, for now.
